The numbers look great for the Carolina MLS area (eight-county area) for April:
Closings were up 15.3% compared with April 2011 (and up 13.9% for the year so far)
Pending sales/new contracts were up 7.8% compared with last year (up 15% for the year so far)
The average closed price was up 5.6% vs. last April (up 2.2% for the year so far)
The median price was up 4.6% vs. last April (and up 2.4% for the year)
Sellers got on average 92% of their asking price (vs. 89% a year ago)
There is a 9.7 month supply of homes on the market. A year ago there was a 13.7 months supply.
In Mecklenburg county closings were up 11.9%, the average closed price was up .9%, the median price was up 1.9%, and the months supply of inventory was 8.3 - down 24.1% since last April!
It's all good, folks. We can only pray it continues!
